Jim Thomas

I grew up sea fishing in Sussex, heading out with my old man in pursuit of big hauls of mackerel. In the early 2000s, I discovered carp fishing, which quickly became my passion. It has helped me in so many ways, especially when it comes to mental health.

To give back, I now arrange matches at work to support others who may be going through similar struggles. I also help run events and marshal competitions. I regularly fish matches through work as well as various competitions across the UK and France.

I fish as often as I can at Embryo’s Norton Disney complex, as it's my local water, and I'm always on the lookout for a good club or syndicate water to join.
