I've been fishing my whole life, starting as a young child when I would visit carp lakes with my cousin and my dad’s friend—that's when I first got the buzz for fishing. I began on canals with a whip and maggots alongside my dad, then moved on to small pools near my home with friends. Before long, I was doing day sessions on match pools around my area.

At around 17, as soon as my friends could drive, we set off in search of bigger carp, and my passion for carp fishing has never faded. My dad was the one who introduced me to fishing and gave me the bug, and when he passed away in 2016, I made a promise to never give it up—everything I do in fishing is in his memory.

I started working for the BCAC some years ago, and I loved every minute of it. The things I’ve learned and the friendships I’ve made there are invaluable. During that time, I realized that the fishing industry is where I truly belong. In 2024, I left the BCAC after seeing gaps in the match scene and recognizing the opportunity to not only improve it but also to support other anglers—especially the younger generation—by helping them break through and get noticed in this competitive industry.

That brings us to today—UK Carp Promotions is more than just my business; it’s my passion and my drive to make it the next big thing.
